Ingredients
Substance for 1 portion of pastry
• 250g flour
• 150g Buttercup - chilled.
• 60 - 80g cold water.
Steps
1. Cut the Buttercup into small pieces, and mix with the flour until crumbly.
2. Add in cold water, mix to form dough.
3. Keep in fridge for about 30 minutes.
4. Roll out the dough and cut into shape of the tart mold.
5. Half bake the pastry in 175oC for about 15 minutes.
Filling substance
Substance A
• 160g onion, sliced
• 3 tbsp oil
Substance B
• 100g spinach
• 80g cherry tomatoes
• Capsicum
Substance C
• 50g grated Parmesan Cheese
• 50g grated Cheddar Cheese
Substance D
• 3 eggs
• 200g milk
• 150g whipping cream
• 20g flour
Substance E
• Salt, black pepper, mixed spice
Garnishing - capsicum, Chinese parsley and cheese.
Method
1. Heat the oil, sauté onions, vegetables, capsicum and Chinese parsley. Add in salt and mixed spice.
2. Cook about 5 minutes and leave to cool.
3. Prepare the pastry, mix all C, D and E. Place cooled vegetables into pastry, pour in liquid ingredients, garnish on top with capsicum, Chinese parsley and some cheese.
4. Bake for 30 minutes in 200˚ oven.
